Year 2 Snow day.

It's another snow day!

Here are some activities to keep you busy.

Maths
Go on the Woodlands Junior website and try some money games. Also practise your number bonds to 10.
Do as many addition and subtraction calculations as you can.

English
Practise your high frequency words, we sent home the words at the beginning of the year the highlighted words were the ones you needed to learn. We will have the test as soon as school resumes.
Write some sentences using those words to help you learn them and to practise sentence writing. Remember to use capital letters, full stops, commas and, if needed, speech marks.

Practise your reading. Read as many books as you can and write a book report on your favourite one. Why did yoou like it, what was good about it?

Science
Look at the snow, research it using the internet. Where does the snow melt the quickest? Try out several locations. does it matter how much snow yoou use?

Geography & History
What is the weather like in different parts of the world? Who has worse weather than we do? Who has better weather than we do?
When was the last time the weather in England was so bad?

Remeber to stay safe and warm in the snow. We look forward to seeing you back when the weather improves.
